THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
"THE REASON WE CONFRONT STUDENTS IS BECAUSE WE CARE."
Something to think about....
1. What does it mean to "confront in a professional way"?
2. What are the differences between confronting and accusing?
3. What emotions are likely to come to the forefront when a person is approached in an accusatory manner?
4. Think of questions that are likely to produce defensive reactions. Reframe those questions so that they would likely produce constructive responses.
5. How can you be sure students realize that you confront them because you care?
