Talladega City Schools Pre-K Program

Hal Henderson is home of the Talladega City Schools Pre-K Program. Mrs. Angela Capers, a "highly qualified" teacher with exceptional talents, developed the program during the 2008-2009 academic year. Mrs. Karen Graves, a "highly qualified" paraprofessional, works collaboratively with the 2010-2011 teacher, Mrs. Patricia Cook, to continously move the program forward. Mrs. Cook was previously our State Department of Education Technical Assistant who evaluated our program. We have 18 students enrolled in Pre-K. I am also pleased to announce that our site has been recognized by the State Department of Education as "exemplary."

Attention: Students!
See you back at school on
THURSDAY, JANUARY 6, 2011!
We look forward to seeing each of you on Thursday, January 6, 2011. I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas. I hope you spent time with family and friends, stayed up late, played new games, read books, and had lots of fun. You have a few more days before we are all BACK to work and school.
Please remember to go to bed early on Wednesday night, get up early Thursday morning, and come to school with a SMILE ready to LEARN. We have one semester behind us and one to go. I encourage each of you to work harder in 2011 than you did in 2010. Also, I encourage you to remember your manners, respect your parents and your teachers, and be thankful for those who love you! You will return to school for a NEW year, a NEW semester, a NEW beginning, and a NEW opportunity. I challenge each of you to set NEW goals, make new friends, and give 110% to be the best that you can be.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
