Talladega City Schools Pre-K Program

Hal Henderson is home of the Talladega City Schools Pre-K Program. Mrs. Angela Capers, a "highly qualified" teacher with exceptional talents, developed the program during the 2008-2009 academic year. Mrs. Karen Graves, a "highly qualified" paraprofessional, works collaboratively with the 2010-2011 teacher, Mrs. Patricia Cook, to continously move the program forward. Mrs. Cook was previously our State Department of Education Technical Assistant who evaluated our program. We have 18 students enrolled in Pre-K. I am also pleased to announce that our site has been recognized by the State Department of Education as "exemplary."

Hal Henderson's "August" Good Citizens.....

Each month, teachers recognize students for being "Good Citizens." Students are selected for voluntarily cleaning an area in the classroom, for being friendly to a new student, for showing good sportsmanship in PE, for reporting important information, for helping a younger student, for showing self control, and for simply being GOOD. We are proud of our students and want to recognize those who stand out.

Each morning, Mrs. Laros reminds students that someone is always watching and listening! Watch out, you may be selected in September. Always be on your best behavior and make good choices. Your teacher, counselor, and principal are proud of you! Continue to be the BEST YOU CAN BE!

Ms. Deese provides a special treat to those students who made an impression on their teacher. This month, the following were recognized as "August" Good Citizens:
Malachi - 3rd grade
Daniel- 4th Grade
Arianna - Kindergarten
Makiah- Kindergarten
Nicklous- 2nd Grade
Delveccehio- 1st Grade
