"WRITING TO ROCK" IS COMING SOON!
On February 1, 2008, Hal Henderson faculty, staff, and students will meet in the hallway and dance to the CHA-CHA-SLIDE. All students K-6 will "write with purpose" for 45 minutes. Afterwards, they will all be rewarded with a "Rockin" good time.
"YOU CANNOT EFFECTIVELY TREAT ANY MISBEHAVIOR UNTIL YOU KNOW THE REASON FOR IT."
Something to think about....
1. Would you agree that the misbehavior of students is one of the most destructive factors in your professional life?
2. Think of techniques that can be used to determine students' motivation for unacceptable behavior.
3. What stance should educators take when students seem to get satisfaction from being unlikable?
4. Share ways you can work together to solve problems associated with student behavior.
5. What can be done to help students grasp and accept the concept that with power comes responsibility?
