Mr. Studdard spent about 5 weeks in Eastern Europe. He brought a map to show students where his journey had taken him.

Mr. Studdard toured Spain, Sicily, Albania, Greece, Macedonia, Nasovo, Bulgaria, Romania, Montenegro', Croatia & Slovenia.

The students were very respectful and attentive during his visit and enjoyed asking a variety of questions. Mr. Studdard also explained how the children in these countries consistently asked him for three American items: Pencils, chewing gum or an American $1.00 Bill.
Mr. Studdard brought each student a coin from Macedonia. In Macedonia the coin is worth $1.00, but in America it is worth only two cents.

Each student was very excited when receiving their coin as a souvenir.

Thank you, Mr. Studdard, for visiting Hal Hendeson and sharing your wealth of knowledge with our students. This was a wonderful opportunity for our students and they will always remember this second grade experience.
