Vanquerius began the celebration early Friday morning eating "Green Eggs and Ham" and reading a Dr. Seuss book. Faculty and Staff members wore matching "Read Across America" t-shirts, hats, etc. Students enjoyed books and movies throughout the day. It was fun for all!!
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
"Recognition is linked to effort and achievement."
Something to think about.....
1. Think about some of the accomplishments and qualities for which students are recognized in your classroom.
2. What methods do you use to provide recognition in your classroom.
3. It is essential that recognition be honest, genuine, and sincere.
4. Think about techniques you use in your classroom that have prove to be especially effective when giving recognition to individual students.
5. Think about techniques that have proved motivational when providing recognition to the entire class.
With ARMT/Stanford-10 quickly approaching, motivational techniques may improve student engagement. Time is running out!! Please use your instructional time wisely.
