Dear Faculty and Staff:

Wow, what a short summer! Believe it or not, it’s time to get started once again. On August 1, 2006, we will kick off the new school year with Institute at Talladega High School in the gym. Please report directly to THS at 8:00 a.m. Bryan Townsend is the guest speaker. He is an outstanding motivator and will get us all off to a pleasant start.

We are very fortunate to have very special and highly qualified teachers on staff here at Hal Henderson, and I look forward to working with all of you. Together, we will provide our children with an exemplary school environment that is conducive to learning. We have new people in each grade level and I am very excited about the many new possibilities.

All of the professional development recordkeeping this year will be done on PDWeb, including the back-to-school institute at THS. If you have not already signed up, please do so before August 1st. You will also need to check the enclosed agenda and sign up for the appropriate training sessions throughout the week. If you have any questions or need assistance with the web address, user name or password, please call me. New teachers will not be able to sign-up through PD Web at this time; however, we will take care of that during the first week.
