Talladega City Schools Pre-K Program

Hal Henderson is home of the Talladega City Schools Pre-K Program. Mrs. Angela Capers, a "highly qualified" teacher with exceptional talents, developed the program during the 2008-2009 academic year. Mrs. Karen Graves, a "highly qualified" paraprofessional, works collaboratively with the 2010-2011 teacher, Mrs. Patricia Cook, to continously move the program forward. Mrs. Cook was previously our State Department of Education Technical Assistant who evaluated our program. We have 18 students enrolled in Pre-K. I am also pleased to announce that our site has been recognized by the State Department of Education as "exemplary."

6th Grade Christmas Tea, A Huge Success....

State Superintendent's Visual Art Contest.....

Hal Henderson recently participated in the State Superintendent's Visual Arts Show. Grades K-6 participated in the annual contest. The faculty/staff of Hal Henderson judged the artwork choosing a winner from each grade level. The six selected were submitted to the central office to be judged...
We are proud of our students and their creativity...

Beyonce won 1st place in Kindergarten....

Ja'Keim won 1st place in first grade...

Daisha won 1st place in 2nd grade...

Tanorika won 1st place in 3rd grade...

Our 4th grade 1st place winner was Jasmine H.

Unfortunately, our fifth graders chose not to participate in the contest.

Nyeshia was the 1st place winner in 6th grade....

We are very proud of our students and their artistic masterpieces. Selecting one winner from each grade level was a difficult task. They were all outstanding this year.

Special thanks to Mrs. Haney and Mrs. Clay for their dedication to this project.
